Thank you for this. I find it inspiring and practical. As a Lay Pulpit Supply, I lead worship at various United Church of Canada congregations. As such, I don’t have the opportunity nor is it my place to make significant changes to their worship services. But one thing I can do is to leave more space for silence. I tend to spend a lot of time trying to get the words right that I (unfortunately) incorporate little time for the Spirit in the service. Thank you for the reminder.

Today we celebrated National Ice Cream Day at the end of the service. If you weren’t there what would you miss? Ice cream sandwiches! Plus people stayed around longer and talked.
